MOSCOW, February 18 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Thursday overturned the house arrest of the head of the medical workers' union Alyans Vrachei (Doctors' Alliance) Anastasia Vasilyeva in the sanitary violations case and imposed a restrictive order on her, attorney Dmitry Dzhulai told RAPSI.
The woman is banned from leaving her place of residence from 8 pm to 8 am, her lawyer said.
She is charged with breaching sanitary and epidemiological rules during the illegal rally held in Moscow on January 23.
Earlier, several opposition activists including Lyubov Sobol, Oleg Stepanov, Anastasia Vasilyeva, Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina and Oleg Navalny were put under house arrest on these allegations.
According to the Interior Ministry, coronavirus-positive persons ordered to isolation were identified among the rally participants. A criminal case over violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules was opened over this fact.
