MOSCOW, March 23 (RAPSI) – Investigators launched a criminal case after avalanche collapse in the Murmansk Region resulted in the death of a minor girl, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
The probe is to establish all circumstances of the incident. Actions of persons responsible for organizing and providing tourist services to minors will be subject to legal assessment, the statement reads.
The case is opened over substandard services resulted by negligence in a child’s death.
According to the investigation, on March 22, a tourist group consisting of 16 people, including 13 children, skiing along the self-planned route, found themselves under the snowslide. As a result, one girl born 2008 was seriously injured and later died in hospital.
