MOSCOW, August 5 (RAPSI) – Investigators have completed probe into two residents of the Irkutsk Region accused of publishing photos of Nazi criminals on the Immortal Regiment website, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
Their cases with approved indictments have been already forwarded to court for trial.
The men are charged with distribution of materials expressing willful disregard for Russia’s military glory days and memorable dates related to the homeland defense that is equal to desecration of the military glory symbols, insulting of the homeland defenders’ memory or denigration of honour and dignity of WWII veterans committed publicly.
According to the investigation, in May 2020, the accused persons put out in the open images of Nazi criminals on the Immortal Regiment website for their further translation on the platform.
