MOSCOW, June 10 (RAPSI) – The new Code on Administrative Offenses of Russia will become effective on January 1, 2021. The document’s concept has been released on the government’s website.
Several other legislative acts concerning administrative offenses will come into force along with the new Administrative Code, according to the concept.
On June 5, Russian government approved the new concept of the Code.
The Administrative Code’s concept envisages dividing of administrative legislation into substantive and procedural law. The document is aimed at improvement of a case consideration procedure and assurance of proportionality in sentencing, the statement reads.
The new concept of Russia’s Code on Administrative Offenses was submitted to the government by the Justice Ministry on June 1.
