MOSCOW, December 22 (RAPSI) – The State Duma adopted a bill fighting against propagation of free sale of exhilarant gas on Tuesday.

The iniative is aimed to prohibit nonmedical use of the so-called laughing gas (hyponitrous oxide).

The bill was submitted to the lower house of parliament yet in 2018. If enacted into law, it would come into force on January 1, 2021.

Amendements are proposed to the Law on Advertising. They will ban not only promotion of exhilarant gas but also its production, purchase, supplies, storage and transportation of nitrous oxide.
