MOSCOW, July 11 (RAPSI) – Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has signed an order simplifying the procedure of obtainment of citizenship for residents of Ukraine and Donbass. The document has been published on the official website of legal information.

According to the order, Ukrainian nationals, citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and persons without citizenship permanently living on the territory of DPR and LPR or Ukraine, including those who had previously Russia’s citizenship but denied it, have a right to apply for Russian citizenship under simplified procedure.

The document came into force after being signed.
