MOSCOW, November 21- RAPSI. A database of foreigners arriving in Moscow will be created, Alexei Mayorov, the head of the Moscow Regional Security Department, said on Wednesday.
“We want to create a database to register individuals arriving in the city," he said. "The database will include foreigners as well as CIS citizens." He added that the Moscow government will work on the initiative with the Federal Migration Service.
Mayorov also suggested that individuals arriving in Moscow should undergo a fingerprint analysis for personal identification purposes.
Mayorov said Moscow healthcare authorities were also instructed to ensure the cleanliness and safety of local hospitals treating foreigners undergoing their pre-employment medical exams.
“We need to check not only on immigrants but also on the organizations where they work,” he said. “We will only grant quotas for immigrants to companies that really need them.”
