MOSCOW, April 17 (RAPSI) – Ukraine informed Russia’s largest air carrier Aeroflot that all male citizens of Russian Federation aged 16 to 60 will be barred from entry, the carrier said in a statement on Thursday.

According to Aeroflot, the citizens not meeting the specifications will be allowed entry to Ukraine by a border patrol squad commander in extreme circumstances only, supported by a official notification of death of a relative,  verified invitations from legal entities or individuals.

In addition, Aeroflot reports that entry will be denied for males aged 16 to 60 registered as residents of Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Female citizens aged 20 to 35 will be allowed to enter Ukraine only after “being processed in a filtration camp”.

It was stated earlier by Maria Ostapenko, a spokeswoman for the Ukrainian Security Service, that Ukraine has recently denied entry to over 11,000 Russian citizens, as a measure to prevent radicals from entering the country. It was unclear on what basis or criteria they were denied entry.
