KIEV, August 28 (RAPSI) – Ukraine's media regulator has suggested that the list of Russian journalists banned from entering the country should be expanded, head of the council Yury Artemenko said on Thursday.
There are 49 names on the updated blacklist unveiled by the Ukrainian National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasting.
“Considering the situation in the country and the recent developments, we have expanded the list [from 38] to 49 names and forwarded it to the Security Service of Ukraine,” Artemenko said.
Up to 20 Russian journalists are already banned from entering the country according to the decision of the the Security Service, Artemenko said.
Konstantin Ernst, the general director of Channel One, Russia's largest state-controlled television network; Oleg Dobrodeyev, the general director of the Russian State Broadcasting Company (VGTRK); Dmitry Kiselev, the general director of the international news agency Rossiya Segodnya are among those who may enter the updated Ukrainian blacklist.
