MOSCOW, April 26 (RAPSI) – The Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested two supporters of the Islamic State terrorist organization, prohibited in Russia, who were allegedly preparing a terror attack, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday citing the Service.
The suspects were arrested in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, a city in the Far East of Russia. One of the suspects is reported to be a citizen of one of the Central Asian Republics and another one to be a Russian citizen. Allegedly they planned to commit a prominent terror attack at the place of mass public gathering.
FSB seized self-made bomb, propaganda and extremist literature at the place of suspects’ residence. Mobile phones of the suspects contained schematics for production of self-made explosives.
