MOSCOW, June 2 (RAPSI) – Over 2,000 applications were filed with the Office of Russia’s Child Rights Commissioner during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the minor’s ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova, starting March, the child rights institution received about 10,000 complaints; over 2,000 of them were submitted to the federal obudsman’s office.

Mostly, applications concerned social sphere - 25.5%. Over 17% of complaints were about education and 11% - about healthcare, Kuznetsova pointed.

She also noted that, according to the Russian consumer rights watchdog,in mid-April the number of children infected with coronavirus reached about 6% of all ill people.
