MOSCOW, July 4 (RAPSI) – The Supreme Court of the Donetsk People’s Republic has received a cassation appeal filed by the citizen of Morocco Brahim Saadun against his death sentence, according to a statement published on the highest instance’s website.

In early June, the judicial panel of the Supreme Court’s Appeals Chamber of the self-proclaimed republic considered a criminal case against Saadun and two British men Shaun Pinner and Aiden Aslin. 

All the men were found guilty of mercenary activities, violent coup, committing a crime by a group of people in conspiracy and training with the aim to conduct terrorist activity. 

On the totality of the committed crimes, they were sentenced to death.
