Owner of burnt-out Kemerovo mall ordered to pay $1.5 mln on businessman’s claim

The Tomsk Regional Commercial Court has ordered recovery of 101.5 million rubles ($1.5 million) from Kemerovo confectionery factory, the majority owner of Zimnyaya Vishnya (Winter Cherry) shopping mall that became a site of deadly fire in March 2018, in favor of a claimant, businessman Nikolay Babkin.

Assets worth $206 mln owned by ex-MP and ex-managers of Siberian steel plant seized

The Commercial Court of Kemerovo Region has seized assets worth 13.9 billion rubles ($206 million) belonging to the former State Duma MP Vadim Varshavsky charged with embezzlement and three ex-managers of Guryev Steel Works, the oldest plant in Siberia.
