MOSCOW, July 9 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court has registered the Nordea Bank's application to recognize the SU-155 developer company as bankrupt, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency on Monday.

The application was submitted to the court on July 6. The hearing date has not yet been set.

The Moscow Commercial Court's decision to recover $31.364 million in credit debt from SU-155 for Nordea Bank came into effect on June 27 after the Ninth Commercial Court of Appeals dismissed SU-155's appeal against the ruling.

The Moscow Commercial Court ordered SU-155 to pay Nordea Bank its debt on February 14. The amount included the principal debt of $28.799 million for loans granted in June 2007, plus interest and penalties. The Moscow Commercial Court enforced the property pledge given as security to provide for the debt settlement.

SU-155 has been operating on the Russian construction market for over 50 years. It comprises more than 150 independent organizations, including 28 industrial enterprises in 17 cities.

Nordea Bank is a universal bank offering banking services to individuals and entities. The Scandinavian Nordea group owns a 100 percent stake in the bank.
