MOSCOW, July 18 - RAPSI. The Moscow Commercial Court adjourned until July 23 a lawsuit to recover $64.27 million from Assmann Beraten + Planen, which earlier designed a warehouse complex for the plaintiff Trio-Invest.
Trio-Invest, part of the Miratorg agribusiness company and complex's owner, seeks to recover losses incurred due to the partial collapse of the warehouse in the Moscow Region.
In February 2008, the walls and the roof partially collapsed on the 15,000 square foot complex.
The plaintiff seeks 1.274 billion rubles ($39.31 million) in losses and over 808 million rubles ($24.93 million) in lost profit.
The court has attracted a number of companies as third parties, including foreign companies that participated in developing the project and Nord-Bank, which made payments under bank guarantee.
Assmann Beraten + Planen is a German design office engaged in consulting and industrial design. Its Russian projects include the design of the Volkswagen assembly plant in Kaluga.
