MOSCOW, May 15 (RAPSI) – Law enforcement officers of Russia’s Republic of Bashkortostan have arrested alleged recruiter for ISIS terrorist organization prohibited in Russia, RIA Novosti reported on Monday.
According to a representative of the regional Federal Security Service (FSB) directorate, the alleged recruiter was arrested in early May. During the investigation, it was revealed that he shared radical beliefs of the terrorist organization and was inducing people into its activities. He also allegedly helped recruits to travel to Syria.
A criminal case over contributing to terrorist activity has been launched with the defendant being put in detention by a court’s ruling.
