MOSCOW, March 6 - RAPSI. The Moscow City Court recognized five violations committed during the March 4 presidential elections. "In five cases examined by the court the judges found that the voters' election rights were violated," the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).
In total, Moscow district courts examined 24 applications for election rights protection concerning the presidential elections.
Billionaire candidate Mikhail Prokhorov earlier claimed that mass violations were revealed in St. Petersburg and Moscow Region. He expressed readiness to go to court in view of such infringements.
Liberal-Democratic Party candidate Vladimir Zhirinovsky also faced problems during his election campaign in some regions.
Employees at some enterprises were subject to pressure up to the threat of discharge during the elections, said Liberal-Democratic Party representative Alexei Ostrovsky.
In his opinion multiple voting ballots manipulations have been exposed.
In view of them the party intends to summarize the information on violations during the March 4 elections and submit it to court, Ostrovsky noted.
The Voters League alleges that thousands of violations have been committed during the March 4 presidential election.
Over three thousand violations were recorded, while more than 100 observers were expelled from polling stations, according to Voters League representative Andrei Demin.
