MOSCOW, August 6 - RAPSI. Those suspected of having organized an assassination attempt against both Mufti of Tatarstan Ildus Fayzov and head of the Spiritual Muslim Board of Tatarstan Valiulla Yakupov, have been placed on a wanted list by the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Fayzov was injured by a car bomb on July 19. Yakupov was shot and killed near his home on the same day.

Both men were known as passionate opponents of extremism.

Law enforcement authorities have said that suspected organizers Robert Valeyev and Rais Mingaleyev, who were placed on the wanted list, are radical Islamists that are extremely dangerous and likely armed.
